We’re off to a very pleasant start to Spring Training. Now, as my father always said, “Winning in Spring Training is meaningless, but it’s sure fun to watch.”
He may or may not have said that last part.

I didn’t get a chance to watch (or listen to) either of the games on Sunday or Monday but I heard Jose had a home run ruled a ground rule double (Cleveland challenged and lost). The man said “Fine, I’ll hit it harder” and he did!
A no-doubter 3-run homer.

Tomorrow is the Dodgers (radio only) and Wednesday is the Rangers (looking like no way to watch or listen). Thursday is on TV and radio versus the Mariners, so it’s a sneak peek at the upcoming season opener in Seattle!
Miscellaneous
- Cleveland has signed Rhys Hoskins (pending physical), but he has a locker in the dugout at Goodyear. This may help our mediocre batting situation…
- Yesterday was a 6-0 shutout of the
OaklandAthletics - Fry played catcher in yesterday’s game, for the first time in over a year!
- I refuse to use X (they violate the Tenets of the Belles!). While the Guards do have a Bluesky account (@CleGuardians), they persist on using X. Maybe we can talk them out of it?
