The last three games at home, and then it’s Boston and the Royals for the end. We need to win a lot of games to make this easy, and Detroit needs to help us out and beat the tar out of the White Sox. Please?

It’s hard to take this serious when Hammy spends at least ten minutes every game complaining about how they’re the Sacramento A’s, and he doesn’t care if they don’t like being called that. If the A’s don’t want to be known as from Sacramento? Don’t live in Sacramento!
But Hammy also explained to me why the A’s are (probably) stuck in Sacramento. Turns out it’s related to their TV contracts. Bearing in mind the A’s owner is a cheap ass, they have a contract with broadcasters and if they move to Las Vegas now, they won’t get the money from their Bay Area viewers. And the A’s Organization actually has a better minor league field in Vegas already, so it’s so stupid.
Anyway! José is the 🐐 who’s 1000th RBI for the Guardians was a home run. Who the hell does that?!

- Daniel Espino opened the game, and sadly got a bit roughed up.
- José hit his 999 and 1000th RBIs! He’s 87 RBIs behind the Cleveland leader, Earl Averill. I think the only batting record he won’t have when he retires would be … triples.
- Cade Smith was dominant. Actually everyone was. Gaddis did hit a batter, and I feel like I should have a “there has been x days since our last hit batsman.”
Division Magic Number: 8
In a stunning upset, the White Sox went from leading 8 to 2 over the Tigers in the third inning, to losing 11 – 8. The Tigers rallied bit by bit and held the Sox off in the ninth. This means Cleveland is 1.5 games ahead of Chicago for the Division.

- Bibee got a little roughed up, and the offense decided to bail him out for a change.
- Martínez had a two homer game?!
- Bibee has a weird curse. Either he’s great and we can’t hit, or he gets roughed up and we hit like hell.
Division Magic Number: 7
Rooting for Detroit is so weird… The White Sox won today, before we played, so we started half a game ahead. By winning, we stay a game ahead.
Wild Card Magic Number: 6

- Big Rig was on the ball today! Had the zone in hand.
- Cade Smith had a four out save.
- Genoa has amazing range!
- Rocchio is still out with leg tightness.
- Our run came from José’s double and stolen base and all around hustle.
Magic Number: 7?
While we had a short delay, the White Sox had over 3 hours, and by the end of the Guards game, they’d just started.
Yom Kippur off, and we go to Bean Town and hopefully don’t lose everything.
