The Man from Down Under Arrives

·

Guardians player in a red uniform in the dugout, with inflatable mascots behind him holding an Australian flag.

I liked when they were the Devil Rays because their initials were TBD. It was just funnier to me.

I’m not shocked we decided to call up Bazzana, and I really hope he keeps hitting. We’ve had some bad luck with that (remember SpongeBob and Big Christmas?). The difference here is Bazzana is an elite 2nd baseman so at the very least I won’t be wincing at Brito. Sure, he had an error, but overall his playing was way better.

  • Third game in a row with runners on in the 9th and unable to bring them home.
  • I caught the end of the game in an airport after a 5 hour flight delay, so I missed a lot.
  • Using Valera to pinch hit was a choice…
  • I see we did way better with ABS, so that’s nice. For us. The ump had a bad day.

  • Welcome to the Show, Bazzana! Sadly he didn’t get a single hit.
  • Bazzana’s walk up song is “Land Down Under”

  • I was stuck in a conference all day and the AC and wifi went out multiple times, so I missed the game. It’s gauche to watch on your phone in a company meeting.
  • No hits for Bazzana still, but nice to see Big Rig pitched well.
