Arias was DFA’d. I can’t even believe it. His error in the first game of the series got the home crowd actually booing! My best guess is he was on thin ice for being lazy.
A redditor said that Arias had the “physical tools of Mike Trout and the baseball IQ of a potato.” FWIW, they’re claiming Zack Meisel said it, but I can’t find anything to validate that.

Nice to know that even with more bats, we’re still Cleveland.
Adell and Lowe did pretty good. Genoa went 3-3 in his first game.

- Not a good day for Joey, he got hit hard.
- Adell did nicely.
- Kwan continued his on-base and hitting streak.

- The Bibee curse continues. As soon as we tied it up, he gets rung for a home run.
- Speaking of rung, Halpin and Kwan both got their bells rung crashing into the wall. Halpin held on, but Kwan couldn’t.
- Vogt got ejected for the second time ever, after a botched call by the 3rd base ump (and crew chief). The ump ruled DeLauter went around (he didn’t), and Vogter snapped!
- For the first time in 90 years, a rookie started his first game going 3-for-3 in his first game. It was 3-for-3 when I started writing the previous sentence. Now it’s 4-for-4 with an RBI. Holy fuck!
- By the way, Happy Down Goes Anderson Day.

- The good news is we got runners home from third a few times.
- Oh and Griffin struck out the side to start the game!
- The bad news was everything else. I mean, when Austin Hedges is the only pitcher who didn’t give up a hit?
Who are we playing next?
