The Tigers are doing better after they traded away Skubal, and it is bewildering. Their fielding is phenomenal this year and their starters remain really good. That said, their Bullpen is light.
Sadly, Guards couldn’t take advantage of that and take another series loss.

- Turns out that Griffen called his own game last time, and did it with Hedgy this time.
- José had another fielding error. His left hand is really dogging him.
- Adell hit his second homer for the Guards!
- Genoa got his first double, and another RBI. Gonna be hard to keep him out of the lineup!
- I’m not a fan of bringing Cade Smith out for four outs. He had over 40 pitches and now he’s not available tomorrow!
- Hedges was walked three times, a new record for him.
- Kwan. Man. This guy! Hits, on base, scores a run, makes a tumbling catch.

- For some reason, the Guards cannot get a game where both the starting pitcher and the bats are hot on the same night.
- José is still struggling in the field and at the plate, but he had a really well hit ball in the 9th. I feel like he came back too soon.
- Kwan’s on-base streak was snapped. Apparently getting on by a Fielder’s Choice doesn’t count? (this is where my wife will rant about stupid rules).
Time to go home and face the Padres and the Giants.
