These games were not played like normal June games. They played like it was the road to the playoffs.
One thing is certain, though. Without Sabrowski, our bullpen has a hard go bridging to the late innings. We have too many rookies to play the intimidating Yankees. Our hit brigade fizzled out too.
Another lingering thought is … where the hell is Arias going to play? He’s coming off rehab soon.

- Rocchio is, hands down, the man of the match with his defense. My god!
- Angél and his two run homer was impressive.
- Scoring on errors and wild pitches is peak Guards Ball.
- While Cantillo let up a first inning home run, we are actually not the worst team with that regard!

- Our inability to get men home from third is really killing us.
- Cecconi still has trouble the second and third time through the order, and the Yanks jump all over that.
- José keeps stealing bases like a mad man.
- We really screwed up our ABS challenges and it hurt us in the long run.

- We had some bright moments, but our pen is not holding up right now.
- Errors are costly. No shit, I know, but still, the Yanks jumped all over that.
- 6 hits and 4 runs is a lot better than it could be.
- Angél is a damn BEAST batting from the right.
Thank fuck tomorrow is an off day.
Three against Detroit at home this weekend and, bad news for us, it looks like Skubal and Mize will be back.
